Obsession?? NO way!

I've been seeing these crayon melting projects on Pinterest a lot lately. So I figured what the heck, I'm already addicted what's one more craft. :) I have to admit, it's pretty awesome what you can do with some crayons and a hair drier. Definitely an inspiration for crafts to come.

You'll need:

Canvas board (They come in many different sizes I think I bought an 17 X 24)
Hot glue gun
Hot Glue sticks
Large box of crayons (You'll need the 64 or 94 pack. One with variety and shades of the colors)
Hair Dryer
Newspaper or Magazines

Getting Started:

So this shit is pretty easy, I emptied my crayon box and took out all the colors I wanted. I chose to do the black, grays, white and gold as well. You don't have too but whatever floats your boat, I suppose. The box of 64 crayons didn't quite fill the length of my Canvas board so I had to steal borrow some of Dakota's. I know she won't mind. I did however, replace them with the beautiful color and different shades of brown. ha ha

After you figure out the pattern you want, hot glue them one by one to the top of the canvas. The bottom, flat part of the crayon should be flush with the top of the canvas. That's it, that's all you have to do.

One of the crayons I stole from Dakota. Lol
You'll want to lay out the Newspaper on the floor as well as on the walls. I know from experience. Hot pink melted crayon does not go well on a white wall... just sayin'.

I put my hair dryer on warm heat setting and on high. Don't move it fast over the crayons. Go Slow and move it up and down until its starts to melt. No this isn't a scene from "Fifty shades of gray" so don't get to excited. On second hand if you don't know what I'm talking about and your a Female, Shame on you. GOOGLE IT!

Back to the crayons. They melt easily so it shouldn't take long for things to start going. Once they start melting together slowly lead the melted crayon down the canvas so it has the "melted" effect. At this point it's pretty much up to you on how you want it to look. So have fun with it. :)

I actually dropped it. I had to re-melt the crayons down the board.
