Disneyland 2012

Ok soooooo I never uploaded any pictures from our Vacation last summer. I could make excuses and say I didn't have time to make the blog post, but thats a lie. Haha. Well better late than never.

The first thing we did on our vacation was go to Medieval Times. Dakota and I had never been before so I was unsure what to expect. Boy oh boy am I glad we went! It was so much fun! We had Fabio the Red Knight. Okay so his name might not have been Fabio, but it should have been. His hair was so long, shiny and flowing. Haha.  The food was amazing and we enjoyed rooting for our Knight. I swear my voice was horse the next morning! Dakota lucked out she received the Knight's tournament rose and was crowned "Queen of the Tournament"!!

The next morning we made our way to Disneyland and California Adventures. Can I just say thank you Disney and Co. for having the Disney's Armed Forces Salutes Promotion. What a deal for a 3 day 2 park hopper at $125 a person! Unlike Disney World, 3 days is more than enough time to see and do everything Disneyland and California Adventures has to offer.

When we were parking the car, they gave us the Guest of the Day passing, which were pretty cool. basically it was VIP parking and come Coupons but it was neat to be picked so randomly. Unfortunately we weren't so lucky the other two days. We spent the first day at disneyland. We rode most of the rides, except "It's a small world", it creeps me out. Haha. While walking near Sleeping Beauty's Castle, Cody starts running away with Dakota on his shoulders in pursuit of a Princess. I think she was about to go on break but we stopped her. Haha. it was Cinderella and her Fairy Godmother. Cody embarrassed us all by calling her Snow White. Gosh doesn't he know his Princesses!!!!

The next day we spent some time in Beverly Hills and Hollywood. It's such an experience! We enjoyed the Walk of Fame and found some of our favorites. It was pretty fitting to find Walt Disney's! We stopped into Ripley's Believe it or not and Madame Tussaud's Wax museum. We had so much fun imitating the figures. I think Cody's favorite was Hugh Hefner, Haha.

Some of our good friends lived in San Diego, so we there wasn't a shadow of a doubt we were going to miss seeing them. Rex, Amanda, Jacquelyn, Derek, Sissy, and Gil joined us at Sea World! It was so nice seeing them. We miss them all the time and it sucks being so far away from them.

We headed back to Disneyland and California Adventure the next day. They have a section back near Alice in Wonderland where the Princesses all line up and every 30-45 minutes or so they switch out. Unfortunately the wait time is just about as long, but it really is perfect picture opportunity, so it's kinda worth the wait. I think total we met about 6 Characters/Princesses that day.

Carsland Was sooo cool! it was like being in the movie. Every little detail was so thought out. Gosh they did a great job. Unfortunately in being so detailed Carsland was paved with asphalt, which makes sense, but golly did the heat just radiate off the ground!!! Another down fall was not being able to ride any of the rides. :( I think we were able to get on one out of the entire section. One ride had an HOUR long wait. Quite ridiculous!!

We went back to the Fifth Wheel after the parks that day and came back for World of Color. Which is absolutely B-E-A-UTIFUL!!! I can't even do any justice to it but writing about it. If you have the opportunity to go, DO IT! That's all I can say about that.

Our last day on vacation was bitter sweet. We were so tired from walking 5 days straight but Disney is so awesome no one really wanted to leave. We spent most the day in California Adventures. Cody and I went on Tower of Terror, while Dakota went with the grandparents to Bugs Land. I LOVED that ride! I was getting butterflies on the way because I hate the drop rides but it was pretty cool. I screamed I'll admit it, but Cody did too. :P We got a pretty embarrassing/funny ride picture though, Haha.

After the park we made our way into Downtown Disney. That in itself is another attraction. A little tip: if you want a princess makeover like Bippity Boppity Boutique, but don't want to pay the fortune. Go to Studio 365 in Downtown Disney. Way way cheaper and they do a fantastic job!!!

Gosh there is so much more but I don't have all day. If it was offered I think I would live at Disney, Haha. It's so much fun there! We really enjoyed meeting all the Characters and Princesses. I can't wait to go back in a year or so. :)

Have you ever been to Disneyland??
