Van Gough
I'm sure it's happened to most of us. We download a new app on our smart phones and it's so inciting that we can't put it down. I mean you are on that damn phone 24/7 feeding the kids and dog leftovers from god knows when, calling into work "sick" just so you can spend every last waking minute on your stupid phone. OK, maybe not that extreme... but you get my drift. Some of these apps are quite addicting. About a month ago, I downloaded Draw Something. My friend had told me about it and it seemed worth while. For me most game apps only have appeal that lasts a couple weeks and then I delete them or keep them and never open them. But this one had potential. I started off with the amateur colors blue, red ,black, and yellow. which was stupid, I mean how can you draw a damn tree with those colors. The world just isn't right!. Eventually I moved up and had every color you can earn in the game. Pro Status! If you don't have this game on your phone yet, you should download it. They have a free version. The upgraded version is only 99 cents (you get more words to draw). All in all it's a fun game, and just about any one can do it.

Easter Egg Bunny.....
I hope you all enjoyed your Easter this year and the Easter Bunny visited your house as he did ours. Of course the real reason behind Easter has nothing to do with bunnies or eggs but we will teach Dakota about that when she's a little older. :) Right now eggs filled with steroids candy are too exciting!!
What did the Easter Bunny bring you??
For some reason the second video didn't upload. I'll try to fix it and get it updated on here soon. :)

Obsession?? NO way!
I've been seeing these crayon melting projects on Pinterest a lot lately. So I figured what the heck, I'm already addicted what's one more craft. :) I have to admit, it's pretty awesome what you can do with some crayons and a hair drier. Definitely an inspiration for crafts to come.
You'll need:
Canvas board (They come in many different sizes I think I bought an 17 X 24)
Hot glue gun
Hot Glue sticks
Large box of crayons (You'll need the 64 or 94 pack. One with variety and shades of the colors)
Hair Dryer
Newspaper or Magazines
Getting Started:
So this shit is pretty easy, I emptied my crayon box and took out all the colors I wanted. I chose to do the black, grays, white and gold as well. You don't have too but whatever floats your boat, I suppose. The box of 64 crayons didn't quite fill the length of my Canvas board so I had tosteal borrow some of Dakota's. I know she won't mind. I did however, replace them with the beautiful color and different shades of brown. ha ha
After you figure out the pattern you want, hot glue them one by one to the top of the canvas. The bottom, flat part of the crayon should be flush with the top of the canvas. That's it, that's all you have to do.
You'll want to lay out the Newspaper on the floor as well as on the walls. I know from experience. Hot pink melted crayon does not go well on a white wall... just sayin'.
I put my hair dryer on warm heat setting and on high. Don't move it fast over the crayons. Go Slow and move it up and down until its starts to melt. No this isn't a scene from "Fifty shades of gray" so don't get to excited. On second hand if you don't know what I'm talking about and your a Female, Shame on you. GOOGLE IT!
Back to the crayons. They melt easily so it shouldn't take long for things to start going. Once they start melting together slowly lead the melted crayon down the canvas so it has the "melted" effect. At this point it's pretty much up to you on how you want it to look. So have fun with it. :)

Heavenly on the cob
Last summer we took a trip to El Paso, TX and Caballo, NM to visit Cody's family. While there I went with Cody's sister, Valerie to Music Under the Stars. It's a picnic-like family setting where you can listen to various genre's of music and eat good food. Val bought this wonderful Picasso like, corn on the cob. I'd never had corn made like that before. So colorful you just know it's bursting with flavor. She let me have a bite and I immediately fell in love. I've been looking for an "authentic" recipe ever since.
Well considering I'm on Pinterest 24/7 like it's my job, I was as giddy as a school girl when I found this recipe. There was my Heaven on a cob, I'd been praying for. And because I don't dare keep this delicious recipe to myself, I'll share it with you fine folks.
ENJOY!!
Mexican Street Corn
Ingredients:
5-6 large ears of corn
Stick of Butter
1/2 cup Mayonnaise
1- 1 1/2 cup Queso Fresco or Cojita
4 tablespoons fresh Cilantro, minced
4 teaspoons Chile Powder
1 Lime, cut in wedges
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Rub the butter on corn and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Roast about 20-30 minutes. Turn half way through.
2. Remove from oven. Working on one ear at a time, brush with Mayonnaise, sprinkle with cheese, cilantro and Chile powder, pressing it into the corn to help it stick. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and serve with Lime wedges.

A day in the rain.
It's raining outside in the Bay Area once again... Ops Normal this time of year. Dakota wanted to go see Dinosaurs which in her terminology means museum. How perfect for a rainy day!! There's this little "Museum" in Berkeley called Habitot. They describe themselves as Imaginative, one of a kind exhibits, just right for small hands, helping young children become curious, creative, and confident learners. Quite honestly they are all of the above. They truly are wonderful. Dakota always has fun and interacts with other children. At the same time learning cognitive skill sets.
I especially love when we go home because she passes out. MOMMY TIME!! YAY!!!
If you have children ages 2-7 and live in the Bay Area I highly recommend bringing your kids here. :)
